Zita Ewert grew up in Chicago where she also raised her two boys, ironically on the same streets, but several miles further south. The boys contributed to a lot of excitement, and provided a blessed challenge on a daily basis, since Zita was solely responsible for them before they even started kindergarten. Her life learning curve didn't have a chance to curve much. It was usually a straight line going straight up, and it continues in that manner to this very day. As mom, dad, counselor, teacher, tutor, coach, fan disciplinarian, financer, advocate, chauffeur and bacon provider, Zita tried to give her boys as good and normal a life as an outside-of-the-box, single-parent family could have. She always admired and encouraged the uniqueness of her their ideas, and helped them with their growing pains and gains. She believed that if one parent or person loved a child, no matter what, that child had a great chance of making it in this world.
